JOB SUMMARY
Provide support to the Supply Chain Department from vendor selections to final vendor chosen, using procurement and financial tools. Serve as the liaison between suppliers, supply chain, management and regularly researches and resolves issues. The role supports the entire supply chain. Be a critical part of a small, hands on, supply chain team that is very collaborative and works closely together.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the administration of RFP’s and sourcing follow up.
- Plan and implement procurement actions under the guidance of the SVP and Vice President of Purchasing and Distribution.
- Follow up on orders placed, verify vendors, perform price audits, and maintain necessary records.
- Review suppliers to ensure quality
- Monitor stock levels
- Assist with other tasks related to purchasing or accounting as directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities though role has independent discretion and judgement in the purchasing area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- 5 years Experience with sourcing and/or supply chain for foodservice chain
- Knowledge of business administration procedures, techniques, and business ethics.
- Knowledge of the formation and administration of vendor RFP’s.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize projects within team.
- Strong Excel skills.
