Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Gas Station Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the gas station, and performing various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the station.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Assist with product promotions.
Fueling Operations:
- Operate fuel dispensers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor fuel levels and ensure pumps are stocked and functioning correctly.
- Report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Keep the station and surrounding areas clean and organized, along with the disposal of trash.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning pumps, windows, and restrooms.
Inventory Management:
- Stock and arrange products in the convenience store.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor when restocking is needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Participate in safety training and drills as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
