Commercial Product Sales Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

Hands on Sales leader who brings proven track record and executable customer applications to a fast growing 3D powdered metal application

Accomplishes sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Sets and achieves aggressive sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.

Accomplishes sales objectives by working with Marketing in evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.

Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.

Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities and coordinating new product development.

Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Delivers results thru hands on approach that set example for team.

Accomplishes organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree with at least 10 years’ of manufacturing, technical, application development and sales experience.

Desired BS in technical discipline (engineering, chemistry, metallurgy, etc.) with at least 10 years’ experience in growing powdered metal applications.

Demonstrated success growing a business double digits

Developed MIM/PIM powdered metal experience or 3D printing knowledge and networks

Accomplished mature people leader who has developed/coached/grown teams and people

Capable of contributing to strategic plans by building and executing commercial plans, setting priorities and providing focus on goals and objectives

Understands need and can implement scaled processes to enhance teamwork, improve communication and deliver results.

Understands Lean and can deploy in the commercial organization

Outstanding verbal/written communication skills and relationship/people skills.

Must be goal oriented and a self-starter.

Excellent organization, time-management and follow-up ability.

Demonstrate capacity for initiative and self-direction.

High integrity, Honest and trustworthy

Be proficient with MS Office applications.

Must be able to travel up to 50%.

Possess a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of domestic and international travel and comfortable traveling alone. Manual dexterity and manipulations to operate a computer extensively. Visual acuity to read detailed computer printouts and reports. Must hold a valid driver’s license and current passport and/or visa. Ability to be totally mobile and also to travel alone.
