Finance Manager

Citizens Bank - Johnston, RI


Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our Consumer Finance organization. As an integral member of the team, this position will partner with Marketing and Strategy leaders to ensure financial discipline and alignment with the division’s strategic priorities.

Specific Responsibilities include:
Partner with CFG’s Director or Advertising & Strategy to manage $0.2BN annual Advertising spend, including coordination with Product stakeholders, ongoing prioritization, and associated executive-level reporting

Coordinate forecast, budget, strategic plan and month-end close processes for

Advertising Strategy team, Fulfilment Operations & Customer Experience team

Manage routine accounting reconciliation of marketing spend vs commitments, in tight coordination with Fulfillment Operations teams.

Provide analytic support for business cases driven by the Advertising team (e.g., impact analysis of potential sponsorship opportunities).

Own methodology and process to allocate Marketing cost to Product organizations


Intellectually curious, self-motivated and independent
Minimum of 3+ years of experience with Financial Analysis
Experience with stakeholder management, and financial process ownership
Strong business partnership, communication skills, and executive presentation skills
Ability to travel between Dedham and Johnston locations
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Prior experience in Banking or in a finance support for a large Marketing organization
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

Bachelor/MBA in Finance or Accounting
