Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Rooms to join our team. As Director of Rooms, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest services and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will manage the company’s procedures and guide employees to ensure they are well-coordinated and productive. You will collaborate with the front office, housekeeping, revenue director, sales team, maintenance, and other department heads to ensure that hotel operations are running smoothly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise all front office and housekeeping operations.
- Train and develop staff in providing exceptional customer service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of room inventory, rates, and availability.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
- Develop strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue.
- Review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations.
- Review the previous day's occupancy, room revenues and labor hours.
- Foster and promote a good working culture, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel management or related role New York City
- Minimum 2 years of boutique hotel experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Proficient in using hotel management software systems
- Knowledge of phone systems and phone etiquette
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
