POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Systems Engineer will be supporting the Lead Systems Engineer of a large multi-disciplinary team of engineering

professionals that are helping solve the most critical cyber challenges for the United States Government. The candidate will implement and improve upon established procedures while performing a variety of tasks related to leading the technical execution of a high-visibility program. The candidate will be relied upon for their detail-oriented approach towards accurately understanding the complex system. The ideal candidate thrives on being challenged.

Overall, the candidate will become a key part of elevating the efficiency and performance of the entire growing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Systems Engineer must have extensive experience in the following areas:

Processes
Possess strong KSA (Knowledge, Skill, and Ability) of the various SE processes Support establishing, implementing and executing the processes (Agile, JCIDS, etc.)

Requirements
Analyze customer requirements that are often generic and abstract Derive requirements down into testable thresholds and objectives Support the presentation / defense of the derived requirements to the customer Enable collaboration among various subsystem teams to gather and communicate requirements

Design
Functional and physical decomposition of complex hardware/software systems Creation of various types of Enterprise and System Architecture viewpoints Support the presentation / defense of the designs to the customer

Research
Provide consultation to teams performing research on the next-gen system Review incremental progress and technical reports for completeness Support the presentation / defense of the research to the customer

Writing
Develop SE documentations, processes and plans Review user guides and test documents for accuracy and completeness Support the editing / delivery of artifacts to the customer

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field along with 5+ years of related work experience
Jira and Confluence experience
Artificial Intelligent/Machine Learning (AI/ML)
Candidate must meet eligibility requirements for a TS security clearance by the U.S. Government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
RMF (POA&M, STIGs/SRGs) experience and Security+ or any other security related certification is a plus

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required
BPMN v2.0, Configuration Management, and Risk Management
Strong background in SDLC and IP networking is required
Strong working experience with the VMware and Red Hat technology
Strong working experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
