Job Description

EZCORP is looking for an experienced and highly driven Infrastructure Solution Architect. The lead infrastructure Solution Architect is accountable for driving end-to-end infrastructure design for strategic projects. This role will focus on capturing requirements and working with key teams to select product and services to build solutions that aligns with the IT Strategy. This position is an individual contributor, however, will be a leader of change by supporting the introduction of architecture and engineering disciplines into project delivery and IT services. The Infrastructure Solution Architect will be the single point of accountability for Infrastructure solution design within the company. Strong knowledge of all infrastructure disciplines as well as data, security and application domains is a must.

Critical and Essential Tasks

1. Contribute to the overall technical infrastructure, vision and strategy – including performance, reliability, scalability, security, redundancy and recovery

2. Become a trusted advisor to the organization by establishing respect through knowledge, actions and results

3. Innovate, influence and evangelize the IT strategy

4. Rapidly improve the infrastructure project and service design capability through industry accepted architecture approaches and introducing lightweight governance controls

5. Establish a design documentation library of repeatable patterns and solutions

6. Capture formal requirements and deliver conceptual, logical & physical level infrastructure solution designs that drive simplification, supportability and cost-effective service delivery

7. Establish a design discipline that can be extended into engineering and operational teams to drive the lifecycle of a service

8. Create a lightweight process with artifacts to govern smaller designs supported by infrastructure teams

9. Support service management and infrastructure engineering to define IT service delivery standards that will be incorporated into solution design

10. Work with reliability engineering to set design standards to be leverage in solutions for monitoring and alerting of performance, capacity and system reliability

11. Define standards and a framework to ensure application teams have traceability and manageability in their designs and implementations

12. Support the transition from implementation into operational support by developing repeatable processes to drive clear handoffs and accountability with service delivery teams

13. Identify opportunities to provide innovative solutions

14. Assist application development and infrastructure teams in troubleshooting and resolving architectural issues during the entire lifecycle of a solution

15. Perform Architectural Assessments of current state production infrastructure

16. Support Level 3 engineers in problem management to eliminate design constraints or capacity limitations

17. Support a culture of continuous improvement through lifecycle management of IT services

18. Leverage and strengthen key vendor partnerships



12+ years of progressive architecture and engineering solution design responsibilities, implementation and production support (operational) experience, including 5+ years in an IT Infrastructure delivery role

International experience (LATAM is a plus)


Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent from a four-year college or university
