InnovaSystems is looking for a passionate individual to lead user research activities. This individual will be expected to work as a dedicated resource to an agile project where they will develop a strong understanding of a complex user base for naval aviation training and readiness software.
This position requires strong communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills along with an ability to work with product owners, business analysts, and customer support to create and solidify requirements during product development. Individual will be expected to analyze documentation to understand the business needs and synthesize research data to understand the user needs.
Individual must exhibit knowledge of a variety of user research methods for early phase research (discovery/exploratory) as well as concept testing (evaluative). They will plan, execute, and analyze user research to understand customer context and needs and translate findings into artifacts such as personas, journeys, tasks analyses, etc., to communicate their findings in business consumable ways.
Candidate must be open to constructive conflict to develop the best result through team work and open dialog. Experience with interface design with a focus on user interaction, workflow, and analysis is required. A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected.

Experience working effectively within a project environment.
Must provide a URL to an online portfolio, no exceptions.

- Ideation techniques
- Tools for synthesizing research
BS/BA degree in Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction, or a relevant field. If no degree, 4+ years experience in user research.
