We are searching for a talented engineering professional to join our Acculogic family as a Technical and Support Engineer headquartered at our Lake Forest, California facility. This critical role supports the Acculogic business which is part of the Electronic Test division of inTEST Corporation. This division is on a trajectory of growth and provides an opportunity to support a global organization.
About the Role
The Applications and Support Engineer is the technical interface between Acculogic and the customers for its flying probe, in-circuit and boundary scan test equipment. Based in the Acculogic facility in Lake Forest, CA, and working with the business development and technical support teams you will be the technical lead providing both pre-sales and post-sales support. Candidates with prior experience with automated test equipment (ATE) for the electronics industry are strongly preferred.
Position Responsibilities

Pre-sales: customer demonstrations, evaluations and benchmarks, including development of test applications. Presenting Acculogic tools at trade shows and seminars to promote the technology and advance Acculogic’s customer market awareness.

Post-sales: Phone support, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, fault identification and repair, installation of upgrades, delivery of training.

Developing test projects for circuit board testing

Participating in Acculogic’s products and test procedures further development

Writing technical documentation, application notes and training materials

Extensive local, national and international travel will be required. >50% travel
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
-
A Bachelor’s degree or similar in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field of study.

An understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical principles. Including component theory and a well-developed ability to read and interpret schematics.

Self driven, quick and eager learn, able to exhibit professional bearing under pressure.

Excellent computer skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presenting to technical working groups and seminars.

Team player with the ability to contribute to a matrix organization while maintaining the ability to act and think independently in a fast-paced environment when needed.

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
