The Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation is seeking a dynamic individual to fulfil the role of the Assistant Director of the Dean’s Office. This position will serve as the primary executive assistant to the Dean, as well as lead administrative efforts in the Dean’s suite.

This is not a grant funded position and is not contingent on future grant funding.
$50,115 - $75,000 per year; DOE
Provides executive level support for the Dean of the college
Manages the Dean's calendars
Responsible for oversight and compliance auditing of extensive travel arrangements
Schedules major development activities for the Dean and coordinates their involvement in major University events
Interacts with members of the university community and the public on behalf of the College, including representation at meetings
Assists in developing Dean's office operating policies and procedures
Oversees reception operations and the associated staff and student workers
Dotted line responsibilities to other executive assistants in the college. Coordinate when schedules need covering, professional development of the team, and the training and recruitment when turnover occurs
Assists with Dean’s Office budget planning and responding to spending inquiries
Develops goals and strategic initiatives for Dean’s Office operations
Learns a variety of university systems including but not limited to Zoom, Workday, Concur, Slack, and various Microsoft Office products
Days and Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm shift, with flexibility to be present at various events or meetings that may occur outside the typical business hours
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND six (6) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Ten (10) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures as applied to public higher education academic institutions
Knowledge of university organizational structures
Experience with management level responsibilities in an executive suite
Experience navigating administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
Ability to establish priorities and organize resources
Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills
Communicate to perform essential duties
Work in an office environment and use office equipment
