PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide clerical support within the office setting.
Ability to operate computer equipment; knowledge of various software packages including Office Windows applications 2007 and above

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform receptionist functions. Activities include answer phone within three rings, take accurate messages, prioritize messages needing immediate attention, establish and maintain a positive welcoming environment, greet and assist visitors, and assist staff and participants with daily activities.
Provide efficient, timely, and accurate clerical support. Activities include facilitate development and maintenance of office operations, operate and maintain office equipment including placing service calls, prepare requisitions to maintain an inventory of office supplies, type staff correspondence, proof documents for grammatical and mathematical errors, create and generate management information reports as directed by the director, maintain participant files, and maintain policies and procedures manual.
Maintain high performance standards. Activities include follow organizational policies and procedures; attend team meetings; maintain job knowledge through training and orientation; provide quality customer service; manage time; and maintain solid working relationships, confidentiality, and ethic standards.
Maintain current knowledge and assure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, Aptiv policies and procedures, and national standards. Activities include ongoing review of Aptiv policies and procedures and national standards; maintain and practice all aspects of safety while performing duties.
Order plants, flowers, or balloons upon request of team coordinator or director.
Open and/or close building. Activities include lock doors, turn off equipment, activate and/or deactivate overnight message system, and transfer messages to appropriate personnel.
Majority of the day is spent sitting at a desk. Speaks to vendors, participants, visitors, and staff throughout the day. Ability to communicate with persons with diverse communication styles and skills required. Mobility around the office setting is required on a daily basis. Lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds may occur occasionally. Some time is spent standing and reaching in order to perform filing or other office functions.
Uses hearing, near vision, 10-12 point character size, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, to decipher, collaborate, and orchestrate in a variety of environments, work simultaneously with diverse populations and environments. Regular use of fine motor skills for typing or data entry. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Majority of work is performed in office setting. Outdoor travel as required to attend various activities may occur occasionally.
