Description

Summary: Provides clerical and general office support to a nursing unit.

Qualifications:Education :
§ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:
Experience:
§ Six months experience in a clerical role.

Essential Functions:
§ Greets and assists visitors and residents in nursing unit.

§ Types routine correspondence and completes forms.

§ Orders and receives forms and supplies, and stocks nursing station.

§ Performs various routine office duties such as assisting with mailings, answering telephones and taking and relaying messages.

§ Collects and files documents, correspondence and other printed matter.

§ Performs other tasks as assigned.

§ Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
§ Knowledge of medical terminology.

§ Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.

§ Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.

§ Ability to be patient and polite.

§ Ability to type 30 WPM.
