Linux Academy is seeking a innovative Sales Development Representative to support our team and the thousands of students around the world who learn through us and our cloud technology. We are a leading online, learning platform that helps anyone learn skills related to a broad set of Cloud and Cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Linux, RedHat, DevOps, Containers, OpenStack and Big Data. We are the preferred provider of “Cloud” training to Individuals, government, corporate and academic organizations, and recognized for the quality of our content, both courses and hands-on labs, and consistently enabling technology professionals to realize the highest rates of success in preparing for, taking and passing a broad set of industry, certification exams.
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team to identify potential prospects and create qualified opportunities for our sales team. You will work with inbound leads that are generated by our marketing team, as well as perform outbound, prospecting activity via email and phone, using a variety of sales tools to assist your efforts. You will be part of a high-performing sales team that is built on accountability, transparency and collaboration. This is a position with great potential for growth for the right candidates.
Prospect relentlessly via email, calls and social selling to generate qualified opportunities for the sales team
Meet or exceed your quota for appointments and opportunity creation
Provide accurate forecasts to sales and executive management
Follow established sales processes and methodologies, and keeping up-to-date accurate records of activity
Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet your appointment and opportunity quota
Provide market feedback and insights to sales leadership
Collaborate with your colleagues
Demonstrate focus and resiliency
The ideal candidate
Has a Minimum 1 year of SDR or BDR experience
Is used to a SaaS or technically-oriented environment
Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
Has impeccable analytical and organizational skills
Is highly self-motivated and self-directed
Has the ability to work closely and collaborate with a senior management team
Can work in the US without Sponsorship
Can work in the main office located in Keller, TX
Is ok with periodic weekend or evening work which is expected but not frequent
It's a plus if
you have a BA/BS degree or equivalent
