Closing Coordinator
Community Grants, Planning, & Housing (CGP&H) is a mission-driven organization that is an established leader in all aspects of affordable housing administration. What the Closing Coordinator would do:
The Closing Coordinator would be a member of our Administrative Agent team here at CGP&H where we administer unique municipal affordable housing programs. You will be responsible for assembling, preparing, and reviewing/certifying documents for Affordable Home closings while ensuring all applicable state and program regulatory requirements are met.
What our expectations are for the ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a 2-year Associates degree with relevant experience
- Experience meeting multiple deadlines in fast paced environments
- Prior experience of at least 2 years in the banking, mortgage, title, escrow, real estate fields
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Sound judgement and sensitivity to the special circumstances of homeowners who qualify for our programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills – able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Dynamic multi-tasking ability
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Customer Service Focused
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
What the ideal candidate can expect to do:
- Prepare loan closing documents
- Ensure accuracy of document details sent to closing
- Be the liaison to coordinate between lender, title company and customer
- Applicant outreach
- Update and maintain Salesforce
- Be flexible and adaptable to facilitate loan closings at any given time
- Set-up and manage the post-closing and files
- Other duties as assigned
Other experience that would make you great at this job (but not required):
- Experience with cloud-based software like Salesforce
- Experience with HUD housing programs
- Affordable Housing Professionals of NJ (AHPNJ) Certification
