As a member of the ArchCare PMO, the Clinical Project Manager is responsible for driving, delivering and reporting on assigned operational and strategic projects on time, within budget while meeting business objectives of the project. This includes direct accountability for the project from beginning to end, directing, motivating and leading cross-functional project teams; defining and managing project scope, establishing change control procedures, identifying and delegating tasks responsibilities, managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities and deliverables, developing time-lines to ensure timely completion of projects; as well as monitoring and reporting progress, risks and issues. The clinical project manager is responsible for developing and tracking project cost when necessary as well as identifying resource needs and conflicts. The project manager will establish project governance structures and facilitate its functioning. The project manager works closely with the Business Project Owner and cross-functional staff to successfully deliver projects on time and will help to ensure that project deliverables are successfully transitioned to and supported by operations.
The clinical project manager will perform analysis of business process and data, and create reports and train business teams as needed. The clinical project manager will assist in process improvements, keeps supervisor informed of progress or delays in a timely manner, and follows the supervisor’s priority order when working on multiple assignments. The clinical project manager also helps in maintaining the KIDS portal and generates management reports as needed/requested.
Provide hands-on project management functions, perform business/data analysis and engage project leadership and key stakeholders through all project phases.
Facilitate project meetings, provide status updates, as well as ensure visibility and availability of project information
Monitor and control project scope and ensure proper change control procedures are followed
Identify, assess and monitor risks and make mitigation strategy recommendations
Develop and maintain an up-to-date integrated project plan
Maintain up-to-date project documentation and comply with ArchCare Project Management standards
Work with the project team to identify business needs and requirements
Work with operational teams to establish operational transition policies and procedures to ensure that project deliverables are seamlessly integrated into day-to-day operations
Implement process improvements
Coordinate project work with vendors and TPA as necessary
3 years’ experience managing projects in health care
Managed project teams of up to 10 members or project budgets of up to $500,000
Experience managing large, strategic initiatives spanning multiple departments
Experience creating dashboards and presentations for senior/executive management
Preferred: Clinical informatics degree
Preferred: PMP Certification
Training in project planning and project management techniques and methods
Training in Lean Six Sigma process improvement methods
