Talent Operations Manager

Thumbtack - San Francisco, CA (30+ days ago)4.5

Have you ever tried to hire a plumber? How about a house cleaner? If you have, chances are it took you way longer than it should. In the era of instant-everything, it's crazy that you still have to waste an entire afternoon researching, calling and vetting local service professionals whenever you need one. The market for hiring them is huge — $700B in the US alone — but the process is inefficient and largely offline.

Thumbtack is transforming this experience end-to-end, building a marketplace that matches millions of people with local pros for almost any project. In making these connections, not only do our customers get more done every day, our pros are able to grow their businesses and make a living doing what they're great at.

Our mission is to engage, excite, and hire people who will achieve their career potential and contribute to the company's success. The Talent Operations Manager at Thumbtack is responsible for driving a robust, qualified flow of candidates to our recruiting team. We're constantly experimenting with new methods to drive a healthy volume of candidates, as well as 'hard to find' candidates. We've built our own creative sourcing approach, we have a healthy internal referral program and inbound pipeline, and we invest a lot in diversity recruiting. We know that recruiting in Silicon Valley is a highly competitive pursuit, so we're committed to tackling this smartly and creatively.

The Talent Operations leader builds and manages our significant team of Sourcers, owns and improves our Recruiting team analytics and operations, and is a strategic partner to the Recruiting leadership team and hiring managers across the business.
