JOB TITLE: TRANSPORTATION DRIVER
COMMUNITY: HALLMARK OF BAKERSFIELD
FLSA STATUS: HOURLY NON-EXEMPT
Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the Bus Driver oversees the transportation needs of the residents residing at Hallmark of Bakersfield.
This position reports to the Executive Management and is a non-supervising position.
The Bus Driver works within a framework of established regulations as set forth by Federal and State laws and regulations. This position is expected to perform a full range of transportation and other technical duties that may include on call responsibility. Adequate performance at this level requires the knowledge and ability to adhere to specialized program guidelines and regulations and the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the department while maintaining a high resident and family satisfaction level.

Any combination equivalent to education and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skill and ability will qualify, these would typically be:
Frequently be required to be in the field alone to perform typical transportation duties. The ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist and kneel is essential. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds is essential. Additionally, there will be exposure to all types of weather from snow to rain, with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The ability to gain ingress and egress at all types of locations (ex. skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, physician’s offices, residences, etc.) is essential.
Performance, wage and disciplinary evaluations are conducted with the Administrative Assistant. The Executive Director may elect to take part in evaluation meetings.
