OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
We are actively recruiting a Manager to join our Corporate Development Network Strategy team. This individual will be responsible for identifying and coordinating growth priorities across our LA and Orange County communities, including development of strategic partnerships with major healthcare institutions and analysis and assessment of internal and external factors. Specific focus areas of the role will include identification and recommendation of strategic opportunities, pipeline development, driving negotiations and structuring transactions with external parties, market and competitor assessment, and managing analytics on existing operating performance to identify long-term opportunities. The Manager will join a growing team of highly motivated individuals with previous experience from leading healthcare companies, top-tier consulting firms, and leading investment banks, and is expected to manage multiple work streams and effectively communicate analyses within the team and with senior executives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support development of regional growth strategies and major Southern California priorities
Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
Research, review and screen potential partnership opportunities
Form relationships with all key providers, hospitals and payors in key geographies
Manage analytical team supporting deal execution – valuation, diligence, leadership presentations, etc.
Prepare executive and external communication to support deal process
Create predictive financial models for use during contract negotiation with key providers
Evaluate alternative payment models (e.g., bundled payments, capitation)
Understand upcoming changes to healthcare landscape (e.g., legislation, CMS requirements and programs)
Effectively communicate the findings, value, and impact of various analyses
Develop and present memoranda, presentations and detailed financial analyses to senior management
Document scope-of-work requirements, ongoing partnership strategies, and project deliverables to advise department managers on partnership and network performance

EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or related analytical field from a top undergraduate program preferred. MBA / MPH preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
4-5 years of experience at top tier consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, corporate finance group, corporate strategy department, or similar experience required.
Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills.
Ability to lead contracting, transaction, or other strategic initiatives from initial stages through closing.
Comfortable presenting to large physician groups/hospitals and executive leadership.
Experience working in a corporate environment with multiple internal stakeholders.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including effective relationship building ability with external parties.
Comfortable working through ambiguity and able to multi-task successfully.
Ability to quickly understand the managed care industry and regulatory environment
Analytical skills: strong quantitative background; ability to create detailed financial and operational models and ad-hoc analyses utilizing large data sets of clinical, financial, claims and operational data.
Presentation skills: comfortable assembling detailed analyses and comprehensive strategic rationale in PowerPoint.
Communication skills: ability to research, synthesize, and concisely convey work plans, analyses, transaction rationale, and negotiation terms to internal and external stakeholders. High energy and ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Management skills: able to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneously.
Self-starter with ability to think and work independently and problem solve.
Strong communicator and relationship builder with the various stakeholders in a given transaction.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
