DIRECTOR OF RESTAURANT OPERATIONS
Houston Country Club, a top-rated Platinum Club of America, is a private member-owned full service country club with a rich history and proud traditions. Founded in 1908 and recognized as one of the most prestigious clubs in the United States, the Club is known for its excellent dining programs and services.
Houston Country Club is open year round and offers multiple dining venues including casual, formal and alfresco dining to its 1300 member families. The Club’s gross revenue exceeds $21 million, food and beverage revenue is $8.5 million of which 50% is derived from private events. The Club is currently undergoing the largest private country club renovation/expansion project in the nation with final completion in October of 2021. This project will include the addition of three new ala carte dining venues bringing our total to nine.
The Director of Restaurant Operations reports directly to the Clubhouse Manager and is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day dining operations, ensuring exceptional Food and Beverage service in all ala carte dining and cocktail areas throughout the Club. A major focus of the position is on continuous staff training and development ensuring HCC members and guests the ultimate member centric-experience. The Director of Restaurant Operations will serve as the face of ala carte dining and will maintain a strong floor presence as well as continuous and open communication with the membership. This individual must be a forward thinker with the ability to initiate change while simultaneously developing F&B programming and providing the proper orientation to the grand opening of each space. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to lead an experienced team of professionals, while providing strong communication, direction and engagement throughout the property.
Interested candidates must have bona fide experience in upscale operations with professional tenure showing a natural progression in responsibilities and position. Candidates should possess a formal education with a bachelor’s degree preferred and an associate’s degree required, although the proper combination of experience and education will be considered. Previous Jonas experience is a plus but not required.
