Job Description:
As an Embedded Development Engineer for Aquicore, you will help drive the next generation of software development to run on Aquicore’s range of IoT devices. In this role, you need a critical eye for detail with the ability to maintain a holistic approach to your work. If you are passionate about creating power efficient, reliable code in small RF devices then this may be the role for you. We are a small, tightly knit team and we maintain a fast-paced, data-driven, ever-changing environment.

What you'll do:

  • Architect and develop solutions for IoT devices to include various sensors, meters and RF protocols
  • Maximize battery life by judicious use of processor resources
  • Work closely with the Product team to ensure timely and reliable data delivery
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure solution is easily deployable and meets customer requirements

What you bring:

  • Has at least 5+ years of work experience and a degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Has academic or professional experience developing embedded software on microcontrollers (Cortex style preferred)
  • Experience with real time systems and/or RF systems highly desirable
  • Is highly responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Has a self-starter mentality and the ability to take ownership of projects
  • Enjoys technology and cutting-edge software
  • Thrives in a small team environment

Technical Skills:

  • C/C++ and Python
  • Github, JIRA or other collaborative development tools
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Experience with embedded microcontroller programming
