Alliance Water Resources, Inc., a professional management and operations contractor, is seeking a General Manager for its proposed Eastern Kentucky Division. The selected candidate will manage a public water and wastewater district, providing services to customers in two eastern Kentucky counties. The General Manager, reporting directly to the District’s Board of Directors, provides overall leadership and management, and is responsible for finances, regulatory compliance, intergovernmental relations, capital improvements planning, budgeting and overseeing the staff which provides water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment, field and office customer service and administration. The General Manager will receive support from Alliance’s corporate office as well as a Local Operations Manager who will oversee the district’s day-to-day field operations.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in business, public administration, engineering or related field plus ten years water/wastewater management, a working knowledge of Kentucky’s water/wastewater regulations and the Kentucky Public Service Commission’s regulations. Any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully meet the job requirements will also be considered.
