Communicates regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions.
Applies commercial judgment in assessing economic risk and return when considering acceptance of corporate finance assignments.
Conveys a genuine interest in and understanding of the client's business and industry and provides both broad and specific information and suggestions for improving the business.
Leads the most appropriate team to provide exceptional services to the client.
Ensures any professional, technical, or client service problem or request is resolved in a timely manner and by the appropriate people and resources.
Oversees a team of analysts, senior associates and vice presidents who are responsible for executing transactions.
Quarterbacks new initiatives as requested by Senior Management.
Leads the effort to generate new business opportunities and client service activities.
Attracts and retains quality Sr. Bankers that will have a positive impact on the SBU and Raymond James (RJ).
Originates new corporate finance ideas for clients and potential clients; develops a niche within the broader SBU.
Produces factual and accurate information to be presented to the client.
Executes M&A and financing transactions, financial modeling, industry and comparable company analysis.
Mentors analysts and bankers and assesses their potential.
Reviews progress of assignments with senior management.
Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related.
Seven (7) years of experience in Financial Service Industry with Insurance sector focus, or related must include: Functioning of the insurance sector, including property and casualty insurance, reinsurance, life insurance and insurance distribution and services sub sectors; Experience with statutory financial statements of insurance companies filed with state regulators and GAAP financial statements; Financial strength rating and credit rating of insurance companies, using the guidelines developed by various rating agencies, including Moody’s, Standard and Poor’s, Fitch and A.M. Best; Forged relationships with senior management at insurance companies and principals at financial sponsor owners of insurance companies; Generating investment banking mandates in the insurance sector and successfully executing such transactions from origination to closing; and transaction execution including expertise in the mergers and acquisitions advisory field as well as equity and debt capital formation on behalf of insurance companies and related industries.
ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related, and Nine (9) years of Financial Services Industry experience with insurance sector focus, or related. Must have skills listed above.
SIE; FINRA Series 7 or 79 License; and FINRA Series 63.
