Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Program Planning 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position can be located in El Segundo, Palmdale, or San Diego.
The Manager Program Planning 3 will be responsible for preparing, developing and coordinating the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives. They will also ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, contracts, cost, and finance.
Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
Present schedule data and metric analysis to program management
Drives change management and ensures' adoption and acceptance of change (i.e. analytics, processes, innovative efficiencies)
Manages and develops a team of business systems analysts to drive innovation, efficiencies, and develop schedule analytics, and will be responsible for performance reviews, personal development, and mentoring the team
Ensures schedule products are corporate, sector, and industry compliant to latest documents
Preparing, developing and coordinating the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives
Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, contracts, cost, and finance
Implements schedule best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: NDIA EIA-748, DCMA 14-point, IPMR DI-MGMT-81861, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis (CPA), Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), Schedule Performance Analytics and Schedule Health Analysis
Knowledgeable of software architecture, databases, MS Project Server, SharePoint, etc.
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Schedule Management, Program Management, or Business Management, or a Master's degree with 6 years of stated experience
Experience leading/managing a team as a Program Manager, Functional Manager, or Matrix Manager
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance, awarded/reviewed within the last 5 years
Active Top Secret Clearance
Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
High level of skill and experience with Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of various NGAS reporting systems (SAP, MRP, Business Warehouse)
