The Management Trainee is an excellent and unique opportunity for a motivated, sharp individual with high energy who is willing to work hard to start their management career in Logistics. Building on our innovative, uncapped Pay for Performance (PFP) structure your potential earnings are limited only by your desire and skills. We both pay & promote based on performance results, not seniority. We NEVER SETTLE & neither should YOU.
Specific duties include:
70% of your day will be spent on business development; calling/emailing current and prospective clients to obtain new business, and entering client data in our database. We will provide you with an abundance of qualified leads.
20% of your day will be spent learning/expanding your experience in full-cycle logistic operations and client service; dispatching shipments, tracking shipments, assist clients with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments.
10% will be learning more about RFP's, project management and account management.
You will learn to maximize operational effectiveness with departmental depth and continued market expansion.
You will review, identify, and negotiate logistical shipping relations with carriers to maximize profits and ensure superior client service. You will develop and foster carrier (vendor) relationships to enhance carrier performance for our clients.
You must be a client focused problem solver, with well-developed independent problem-solving and negotiating skills.
Thorough desire and commitment to success, self-starter, with a competitive nature and willingness to sell.
Strong and professional communication skills with a true service mentality.
Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
Must be self-directed with strong analytical & problem solving skills.
