Celgene is seeking a results oriented leader to provide oversight and accountability of the Global HRIS Development and Support team. The individual will lead the HRIS IT Function comprised of several functional SMEs and have direct oversight on outsourced services (both project and break/fix/enhancement). The incumbent should have broad functional understanding of the HR Discipline as well possess a strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The key areas of focus will be around Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Reporting, Integrations, and Talent. This is a leadership position with a high degree of influence
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leads a staff of HRIS professionals, consisting of onsite, matrix, and offshore resources to execute projects in support of the Global Workday Application Service as lead application delivery leader to the Global HR Organization, partner groups in IT such as Architecture, Operations, and Business Partnership
Provide support of critical business cycles such as payroll, benefits administration as well key compensation activities within Workday. Provides leadership and support to several HRIS technology point solutions such as Smashfly, Visier, and Taleo Archive Zone.
Provides management oversight to onshore and offshore Managed Service team and agreements regarding HR system support/enhancements and ensure adherence to agreed upon service level agreements. This role will be responsible and accountable for manager service performance and service level agreements
Understands Workday platform security model administration to ensure protection of valuable employee and financial data on behalf of the HR Function
Serve as primary Workday Platform Architect on initiatives/projects to provide technical/functional guidance on projects that will introduce or change functionality of the existing platform
Ensures that all licensing compliance and change/release management processes are followed and properly documented for HR Applications. Will be accountable for ensuring that all Workday releases/updates and planned for in application in our Production environment
Contributes to the ongoing implementation of improvements to IT service management processes and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensures that service levels Meet/Exceed the needs of our business colleagues. Provides ongoing updates to Human Resources/IT on support/performance metrics.
Ensures that service contracts, business cases, and operating budget forecasting account for appropriate cost and service level criteria of HRIS solutions
Responsible for oversight of approximately 90+ Integrations that drive critical businesses processes for Celgene.
Responsible for HR systems budget management in partnership with their supervisor to ensure financial health of the HRIS portfolio
Span of Control – Global, cross functional, in collaboration within IT Functions, Global Human Resources, Business functions that require support from HR Applications, Vendor Management, and Finance
Direct Reports – 2 employees
Indirect Reports – Outsourced application managed service team
Budgetary Responsibility – Will provide guidance around both operational spend and project investments for HRIS systems.
Interacts w/ - IT Global Delivery Services leadership, IT business partners, Quality Systems, Integration Systems, Service Management, Help Desk, Celgene business leaders and staff members
Requires strong mastery and certification in Human Resource Information Systems, specifically Workday. Workday Learning Experience is a plus
Legacy experience in PeopleSoft desired but not required
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing IT business processes and solutions.
Proficiency with recognized industry standards covering IT service management, IT Governance (ITIL, Service Management).
Experience designing and implementing IT managed service agreements.
Experience leading operations reliant on an outsourced service provider model.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have ability to: a) effectively interact with executive and senior management to assess technology requirements and communicate services strategies and change initiatives; b) effectively lead matrix projects with global implications; c) create artifact templates and frameworks for service models and roadmaps; d) work effectively as a team leader and team member.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITSM reporting/analytics within the ServiceNow platform.
Previous Application Outsourcing Managed Services experience including at least 8+ years leadership experience
Demonstrated expertise with financial management
Pharma/Biotech experience a plus
HRCI PHR, Professional of Human Resources certification desirable but not required
Workday Pro system certifications required
BS in MIS, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related study preferred
