Sentier Psychotherapy is a growing, community-based mental health and wellness organization that provides counseling services to clients from birth through adulthood. Sentier offers individual, couples, family, and group counseling and therapy, as well as seminars and classes. Provide assessment and counseling services to youth ages 11-17
Provide assessment and counseling to adults, ages 18+
Provide family therapy (not required for this position, but a plus) and/or consultation with parents of teens.
Provide couples therapy (not required for this position, but a plus if applicants are EFT trained)
Complete diagnostic assessments
Develop, implement, and update treatment plans
Maintain updated case notes in electronic health record system
Develop curriculum and provide group counseling and therapy on topics of interest and need
Coordinate care with school and medical professionals
Write entries for the Sentier blog
Share office with other practitioners as needed
Type of Position:
This is primarily a Teen Therapist position. Can also include adult couples therapy, teen/adult eating disorder work, family therapy, perinatal focus, and/or trauma focus depending on clinician’s interests and skillset.
Eventual Full-time caseload (15-25 client sessions per week); please note full-time caseload will not be available right away.
50% or more of session availability must be after 2:00pm and/or on weekends
Master’s degree from accredited university
Eligible for clinical license in State of Minnesota
History of ethical service in the field
Strong written and verbal skills
Desire to work with adolescents and young adults
Progressive, creative mindset, motivated, and ability to be a self-starter
Technical proficiency with EHRs, client portal, Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, wellness apps
Fully licensed in State of Minnesota
EMDR trained, and/or
DBT trained, and/or
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy trained
Minimum typing speed of roughly 40 words per minute
Specific desire to practice in a small group clinic setting
Comfortable with networking and practice promotion
Funding for supervision
$600 per year for continuing education
Much room for artistic license to create and implement groups and seminars

This position is ideal for someone who wants to maintain temporary part-time employment elsewhere while the caseload builds to full-time at Sentier.
