The General Mechanic – Dock Attendant will report to the Loading Dock Operations Manager. They will be responsible for the general upkeep of the facility with particular focus on the loading dock area. They will monitor loading dock activity to ensure clear path of travel maintained. They will facilitate the loading, unloading, scanning & storing of all scheduled deliveries/pickups. The right candidate will be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail. During non-delivery windows, attendant may be called on to assist in general facility upkeep items such as fixture repairs, painting, filter changes, asset assembly, etc

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee shipping/receiving area activity
-
Assist with unloading/loading freight at loading dock.
-
Ensure loading dock area and service doors maintain clear path of travel
-
Maintain organized package storage area and coordinate timely pick-up with internal recipients
-
Inspect/Survey dock area condition for any damages; report via CMMS and make necessary repairs
-
Oversee organization of compactor area; coordinate swap-outs with disposal vendor
-
Utilize the CMMS for tracking/documenting/planning repairs and site observations/surveys
-
Maintains ballpark operations assets and equipment in good working condition, and notifies the account manager or supervisor if repair or replacement is necessary

Works safely at all times and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions existing in the work area

Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed

Adhere to Ballpark safety and security procedures

May be called on for additional duties including:
-
Patching and painting walls and surfaces
-
Repair, replace or adjust inoperable doors and hardware
-
Replace damaged or missing ceiling tiles
-
Cove Base and carpet repairs
-
HVAC Filter Replacement
-
Snow Removal for dock access and emergency egress pathway
-
Assisting tradesmen with emergency repairs
REQUIREMENTS
-
Possess a High School diploma
-
Be able to utilize material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack)

Strong Communication and Organization Skills
-
Prior experience in painting/general maintenance/carpentry
-
Ability and willingness to work off-hours if necessary, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays (as required)

The employee works both inside and outdoors and is exposed to changing weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 50lbs unaided.
