Full Job Description
Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is currently seeking a Project Designer or CAD Designer for our Land Division in our Laurel, Maryland Office. Candidates should have 3 - 5 years of experience doing land development design working in Civil 3D.
Other experience desired is as follows:
Develop preliminary design concepts and detailed plans in the areas of site layout, water, grading, sewer mains, roads and storm drain design, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans using AUTOCAD CIVIL 3D
Provide assistance to other team members and management in order to accomplish department goals and objectives.
Project Designer - B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
CAD Designer - H.S. diploma and 3-5 years of relevant Civil 3D experience
Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS and/or other hydrologic and hydraulic programs.
Ability to read and interpret soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, construction stormwater plans, and site restoration plans
Experience with water resources engineering, floodplain analyses, knowledge of wetland delineation, assessments and design.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
