Working independently and strategically, the Merchandising Operations Vice President will serve category management as central hub for in analytics driven functions. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor and senior leadership as needed. Most activities are completed without a supervisor’s advance approval. This role is generally characterized by high levels of enterprise-level scope; strategic, functional, and relational complexity, and a high level of independent decision making.


Create and lead Merchandising Operations team; stand-up new unit in line with EVP vision (structure, mindset & behaviors); select internal and external talent to fill key unit roles
Lead replenishment team to support overall merchandising execution
Oversee all inventory management, forecasting, and replenishment strategies along with replenishment order execution to support category management
Assess operational and financial performance of inventory
Forecast inventory requirements/impact for promotional programs
Lead spatial elements of merchandising; Oversee execution of POG & Space management
Establish centralized support team for all pricing and promotion execution
Responsible for all analytics-based business rhythms: Analyze overall merchandising business, to include category, operational, and financial performance, ensuring data integrity
Communicate to executive management on performance; represent budget requirements, cost targets and overall op. performance
Empower employees and develop top talent; create opportunities for skill development and career progression
Coordinate and collaborate with Categories and PL on the coordination of space management, with Visual Merch., coordination of visual merchandising, with Private label, PL inventory management, with Categories, promotion execution, and with Private Label, PL-related inventory management coordination
Lead with enthusiasm for GameStop mission, customers and people
Create a team culture of collaboration, trust and accountability
Coach teams actively and provide constructive feedback to develop future talent

10 or more years of related experience required; at least 3 years of Director level experience required
Accredited Master’s degree required; additional undergraduate study, certifications, and related leadership experience may be considered in substitution
