2020 ReEntry Program – Operations
The ReEntry Program is a 14-week fellowship program, beginning March, 2020 and ending June, 2020, with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JP Morgan Chase at the end of the program. The program offers a reintroduction to corporate life for those returning to the workplace after two or more years voluntarily being away. The fellowship placements will be based on both business needs and candidate skill set and interest areas within our Corporate Firmwide Functions.

The Branch Administration & Operations (BAO) department helps bankers focus on the customer by establishing and maintaining processes, managing changes and projects, coordinating related Operations and Technology partners, while providing customized field support to the over 50,000 branch employees.
The Project Manager is responsible for the implementation of projects and programs that introduce change to the field. Changes can be physical, systemic, procedural, or a combination of all. The PMO collaborates with multiple stakeholders (technology, training, marketing, sales, communication, controls, vendors, etc.) to ensure field readiness with minimal disruption.
As an Investment Banking Operations Specialist, you will have this rewarding opportunity to support securities trading for high profile clients and various internal teams to allow for the efficient functioning of this key line of business in our firm. With a focus on control and risk aversion, you will monitor, analyze and process transactions utilizing our proprietary systems as well as vendor applications that are used industry wide. Our analysts are instilled with the drive to succeed in a challenging environment and enforce the need for timely execution of deliverables. You will be responsible for the accurate processing of securities transactions by meeting deadlines across domestic and international markets. You will gain valuable experiences with various investment banking products and services that have global risk exposure. The CIB Client Tax Services Utility is a newly formed Global organization that sits in the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) but supports clients across the CIB, Community Consumer Banking and Commercial Banking businesses. The Strategic Technical Transformation Team is a dedicated global group of Strategic consultants and project delivery resources that are focused on strategic design, transformation and implementation meant to convert existing Tax and client facing functions into a unified strategic utility. The group’s main focus is the following:
JPM Centre of excellence for Process Re-engineer, transformation and Program delivery
Provide improved/expanded Product and Service capabilities to existing JPM clients across businesses
Support functional richness, system integration and operational capabilities to expand existing or win new business
Simplify and consolidate the existing Technical Architecture and re-engineer Operating model supporting the Tax Utility
The group provides a unique mix of analysis, project management skills, product thought leadership and consulting services enabling it to provide a consistent, high-quality and responsive approach to the way we analyze opportunities for efficiency, consolidation, expansion of services and revenue generation.

CIB Operations is comprised of the Global Marketing Middle Office and Back Office, which are primarily responsible for the client service and operations delivery at product level and trade management from execution through settlement for global, European, and local clients. CIB Operations provides end-to-end solutions that include four main components:
Banking Operations- strives to provide the best operational services and support to the financial industry as measured by our customers, shareholders, and fellow employees. The Banking Operations organization and core functions achieve service excellence through Client focus, Technology solutions, and Work force innovation providing Banking Ops product support. Banking Operations is organized in conjunction with the Distributed Operating Model servicing its core functions around the globe.
Global Market Infrastructures ("GMI")- faces off with local market participants (cash correspondents, sub-custodians, market infrastructures, central banks), regulators, industry associations, and J.P. Morgan clients across all lines of business. GMI provides support to internal and external clients across the Firm and works with a wide range of business partners including Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Client Service, Government Relations, and Global Tax Services. GMI includes four functions that consist of over 100 employees located in New York, London, Bournemouth, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, Tokyo, and Copenhagen.

Markets, Derivative, and Branch Operations- with a team of over 10,000 employees globally, Markets, Derivative, and Branch Operations deliver best- in-class markets trading operations and derivatives processing across all asset classes (equities, fixed income, currency, and commodities) through a client-focused, technology- enabled, and risk control oriented business environment. Our external clients include Asset Managers, Pension & Life Funds, Government Funds, Hedge Funds, Broker Dealers, Global Custodians, Agent Banks, Retail clients, and other Financial Institutions. We also partner with various functions across the CIB including Technology, Client Service, Product, and Platform.
We also have opportunities in CIB Business Architecture and Transformation which is a dedicated team of project and client facing resources focused on large scale change initiatives to address Industry, Client, and Business requirements across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The group provides a unique mix of project skills and product experience that are not tied to a specific business enabling it to provide a consistent, high-quality, and responsive approach to the way we manage and execute change across the firm.
What We Look For:
Ideal candidates for the program are creative, innovative team players with analytical, technical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills. Individuals must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner. The ability to relate well to external clients and internal partners and establishing strong working relationships is a crucial requirement of the program.
Individuals must be on a voluntary career break for at least two years in order to be considered.
The candidates’ background and interest will determine where they will be placed within the Operations businesses. Individuals with previous (5+ years) experience relevant to the businesses noted above are encouraged to apply.
