We are a local restaurant group comprising of Herbs & Rye, Cleaver, Morning News, and our newest concept: Middle Child! We're looking for a few sous chefs to join our growing team.
This is a leadership role, and at least two years of kitchen experience are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and direct all food preparation, from prep through service.
- Maintain a clean kitchen and follow all state food safety and sanitation laws.
- Monitor the quality of all food and all final dishes before arriving to guest.
- Nightly inventory of all proteins (Beef, poultry and seafood).
- Monthly inventory (to be done last day of the month and due on the 1st of the month before noon) of full kitchen.
- Track, record, and maintain inventory stock including foods, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
- Create/Maintain nutritional and allergy chart for all dishes. Train and inform all staff of charts.
- Oversee repairs of kitchen appliances.
- Hire and train each new kitchen staff member until they are 100% ready to execute full job area requirements.
- Oversee all kitchen operations from open to close.
