Full Job Description
PDS Procurement Specialist is responsible for authorizing purchase orders, supplier negotiation, tracking and receiving purchase orders. They effectively communicate with multiple teams within the PDS organization, and various suppliers to ensure product is ordered and delivered to meet and exceed customer expectations.
The PDS Procurement Team environment is fast paced, and detail orientated with a positive professional attitude communicating effectively internally and externally.
Reports To: Director of Procurement
Peers: Procurement Team
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Authorize purchase orders to PDS approved suppliers
Knowledge of purchase order and inventory requirements for the PDS logistics and configuration centers
Communicate effectively with suppliers on purchase orders, costs, shipping methods and tracking
Communicate effectively with PDS Sales, PDS logistics team, PDS accounting on various requests
Collaborate with PDS Procurement Team and Procurement Team Lead on daily workload requirements, including providing training to other team members
Logistic knowledge on shipments, tracking, warehouse locations
Performs other duties as required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Related Experience:
2+ years in procurement position
IT VAR procurement a plus but not required
Basic Inventory knowledge
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Great attention to detail
Microsoft Office and Outlook knowledge
Professional positive attitude
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to adapt to change
Occasional travel to alternate PDS (Brookfield or Madison) location
CPSM,CPM or SPSM
