GPI is seeking a motivated Systems Administrator with at least five (5) years of relevant IT experience to support our Scranton location. This IT position is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. They will be expected to document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems, maintain user account information including rights, security and system groups. All applicants must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff members. This position will work under immediate supervision of the Regional IT Manager, as well as rely on established guidelines to perform functions of the job.

Please note: This position requires a clear driving record to support occasional travel.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualified candidate must have a valid driver’s license and retain a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.
Possess a personal vehicle for use during the day for transportation to and from and on or around a job site
Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language
Ability to write in English
Basic computer skills
Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Word documents
Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Excel documents
Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Exchange emails with attachments
Possess the ability to stand on your feet for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours a day.
Possess the ability to climb a ladder varying from 6 feet to 20 foot extension
Be able to lift and or carry a weight of 30-50 lbs. (concrete inspection specimens and required equipment)

Skill Requirements:
Candidate would assist with documenting IT systems. He or she would assist with projects and initiatives to the extent that they can without adversely affecting their ability to support their primary job responsibilities. A few examples of what might be expected of the new employee include:

Communication:
Ability to work alone, analyze problems, develop and deploy solutions.

Assist in negotiations of vendor contracts and services.

Software:
Windows 7, 10.
Microsoft Hyper-V.
Microsoft Server 2008, 2012 and 2016.
Patch and update server equipment.
Check server event logs.
Configure AV scans to run monthly on all servers.
Track software licenses installed on equipment.
Update computer and user information as it changes.
Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and system groups.
Maintain backup job rotations.
Manage Microsoft O365 portal.
Manage Microsoft Azure Files, VMs, Backups.
Manage Microsoft Exchange Online.

Hardware:
HP Proliant and Dell servers, desktops and laptops.
Manage tablet and mobile devices.
SonicWALL NSA firewalls.
ShoreTel VoIP.
Netgear PoE network switches.
Canon copiers and Canon plotters.
Hardware replacement/warranty monitoring.
Format and re-issue existing workstations.
Archiving of data and disposal of old equipment.
Order new hardware and software as needed
APC power failure test/BIOS settings
APC software install and configuration

Required Education and Experience:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience.

At least five (5) years of relevant IT experience.

A+, Network+, Security+.

MSCE / MCITP certifications or equivalent experience.
