POSITION OVERVIEW:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce seeks a director/senior director of Supply Chain Policy to support the policy and advocacy role of the senior vice president of Cyber, Intelligence, and Security Policy. Engage Capitol Hill, the administration, and industry to coordinate policy development and ensure that the Chamber is actively involved in legislative and regulatory issues related to domestic and international supply chains.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, evaluate, detail, and prioritize emerging supply chain issues impacting members; develop solid position statements and represent member interests; lead projects across domestic and international issues, including national security and global supply chain security; assist member companies with business-to-government dialogue and ensure that they are regularly engaged with the National Security Task Force and Supply Chain Security Working Group; work with stakeholders, including government contacts and key partner organizations; remain current on news and policy developments related to supply chains, customs, and international trade; educate Chamber members on key supply chain issues; regularly convene working group meetings; oversee meetings and events; identify and solicit sponsors for the annual Global Supply Chain Summit and other events and programs of work; retain and recruit member companies; prepare briefing materials and presentations; and perform other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ related experience, preferably in an association, federal agency, or on the Hill; an understanding of national security and economic policy issues; extensive knowledge of supply chain regulations and related legal authorities pertaining to import, export, and trade facilitation; knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and rulemaking processes; experience working with senior executives in the public and private sectors; strong written, verbal, and editorial skills; ability to interact effectively with high-level industry representatives; and able to multitask under deadlines.

Salary commensurate with experience.
