Wholesale Industrial Parts is seeking a qualified Outside Sales Representative focused primarily on the Material Handling industry in the Sacramento region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Hunt, close, and develop the accounts you land.
This is a fast paced position in a competitive marketplace. In the beginning you'll be calling on 10-15 companies per day in person and more on the phone. The pace will moderate as you develop your account base. We are a successful company with substantial market advantages and we'll put you in a position to win. But you have to go out and start the relationships. This company does not cap commissions. How big can you think?
You'll be successful in direct proportion to your work ethic and your ability to learn a little bit about an awful lot of things. You might be sourcing a loading dock component in the morning, Forklift tires at noon, and restroom dividers in the afternoon. If your account needs it you'll attempt to source it.
You're primary role is selling, with support staff to help you locate needed parts. But, delivering parts and equipment sometimes comes with the territory.
You'll need to work with credit department to establish customer accounts, maintain customer contact files using CRM software, communicate with accounting about their payment history, and generally manage most data about the accounts you service.
You'll need to be willing to put in the effort to expand your product knowledge and market awareness over time. We'll train you and make support available, but you have to work to keep learning.
You'll be responsible for helping service and parts management develop goals including marketing campaigns and identifying customer trends.
Experience: two-years related experience in the equipment industry is preferred but not required. We'll train the right person if they have the right skill set.
Other duties may be assigned.
This is salary plus commission position with no cap on commissions.
