Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, particularly in nursing homes and home care settings. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in managing and supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing high-quality care to residents.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and resident rights
- Oversee documentation review and medical records to maintain accuracy and completeness
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care
- Monitor and assess the quality of nursing care provided
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Skills
- Strong background in nursing with experience in nursing homes and home care
- Excellent knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Medicare guidelines
