PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This is a creative design position that requires imaginative thinking around designing, developing, and/or implementing enhanced physical and digital user experience solutions to meet consumer/customer needs in a challenging and rewarding healthcare environment. The Digital Experience Designer helps transform Jefferson’s digital experience offering. Uses the collaborative design approach to develop and implement innovative digital solutions with a focus on customer/consumer experience. Also, uses the prototyping and iterative design process to solve consumer/customer needs. Designs for digital and physical experience environments with a focus on healthcare innovation. Helps develop progressive standards for user experience design
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Works with multidisciplinary teams through research, synthesis, idea generation, design, and testing of new digital offerings.
Prototypes rapidly in physical and digital mediums (both low and high fidelity prototyping) to test and validate design concepts.
Effectively manages client-specific projects throughout the lifecycle, including developing schedules, timelines, resource allocation, monitoring project progress, and project documentation.
Helps facilitate stakeholder/client workshops to build process/journey maps.
Develops solutions that align with the digital experience strategy for consumer/customer experience needs of the organization.
Works closely with patients, students, physicians, employees, faculty, researchers, donors and other clinicians to translate their needs into applicable solutions.
Designs, develops, and executes primary and secondary research in an academic and healthcare environment to identify behaviors and needs.
Translates behaviors and needs into insights that lead to implementation of real world healthcare experiences.
Measures the impact of the designed experiences to continuously evolve digital experience strategy.
Creates and standardizes digital assets that define baseline experience standards.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelors’ degree in Information Science or related field Required.
Master’s degree in Human Centered Design preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
At least 2 years of design experience. E xperience in human-centered design preferred.
Proficiency in ethnographic studies, design research methodologies, and frameworks. Previous experience in healthcare, a plus. Previous experience in web and app interface design, a plus
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
Demonstrated ability using the human-centered design process.
Candidates with advanced skills in digital and physical prototyping will be preferred.
Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
