As a member of IT Global Shared Services, the Sr. HR and Legal and Legal Business Partner plays a hands-on leadership role in identifying, organizing, and delivering HR transformation opportunities. The Sr. HR and Legal Business Partner leverages a deep understanding of supported HR and Legal business processes, HR Systems architecture, data management, configuration, and integration aligned with downstream solutions. Strategic collaboration and program planning/execution with HR and Legal Senior Leadership, HR IS Customers, and IT peers is essential for success.
Conduct strategic planning sessions with HR and Legal Leadership and HR and Legal Customers to identify program, project, and operational commitments, as well as determine appropriate resource assignments and work priority. Provide subject matter expertise on key business process discussions. Oversee multiple projects and maintain resource and schedules to meet business needs.
Provide Functional/Technical design insight and direction across HR/IT teams to ensure end to end process alignment as well as compatibility with downstream systems. Establish relationships and communication with peer IT leaders to coordinate resources and communication.
Provide functional knowledge of key business processes and the IT services/applications that support them. Support the improvement of business processes through adoption of IT best practices and harmonization.
Manage scope, budget, resourcing, testing, and schedule of multiple, concurrent projects, ensuring successful delivery of capabilities within timeline and budget expectations. Provide program/project expertise and oversight to HR/IT resources, adhering to standards for process, documentation, and setting expectations for the HR/IT resources to do so as well.
Maximize existing HR and Legal technology investments; collaborate with HR and Legal Leadership and HR and Legal Customers on requirements for business capabilities and ensure IT methodology is appropriately applied to each stage of the global HR processes to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness
Regularly collaborate/communicate with the larger IT organization (i.e., IT applications, Infrastructure, and Security), as well as with other Avanos stakeholder teams, to deliver the appropriate technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor degree in computer science/analytics or related field – Master’s degree a plus
10 years of IT experience, 5+ years of application management and software development, managing development resources
Proven and successful IT Program and Project Management leadership experience; deep experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) to articulate analytic concepts and information to senior leaders within IT and senior leaders in other Avanos organizations, stakeholder, non-technical audiences, and technical audiences
Proven understanding of Human Resources standards and best practices for Human Capital Management, Employee Benefits & Incentives, Learning Management, Payroll, Employee Performance, and other key HR areas.
Ability to manage global Human Capital Management system implementations and drive HR transformation.
SME in one or more key SuccessFactors business processes including: Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning, Compensation; other HCM application experience (Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.) may also be considered.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, diverse environment and ability to influence others to drive change in an organization.
