We’re looking for a creative, original thinker to join our news team as the digital producer at The Keene Sentinel, a daily, family-owned community newspaper in southwestern New Hampshire. Most important, she or he will collaborate with the digital content editor on new digital content and projects and ways to connect and communicate with our readers. That includes writing for and posting news on our website and on all our social media platforms. Good news judgment and social media savvy is a must. The digital producer will also shoot and edit video stories as well as packages for special events The Sentinel produces. As part of the digital team, the producer will also work with analytics, help staff navigate social media, build the weekday newsletter, and join The Sentinel’s company-wide marketing team. Experience with Photoshop is encouraged, but not required.
If you work well with others, see stagnation as the enemy, and enjoy being part of a small but invested community, please apply!
Contact Digital Content Editor Cecily Weisburgh at firstname.lastname@example.org with a cover letter, resume, links to two video clips and examples of how you use social media. No phone calls, please.
