Provides information/reports for top Management in the use and evaluation of necessary human resources, equipment, and space.
Supports planning efforts in implementing new logistical arrangements aimed at improving accurate cost in patient services.
Performs analytical and evaluative work associated with the development and maintenance of the DSS/MCA database.
Conducts special studies on manpower, space and equipment utilization.
Directs staff in planning HR/Equipment/Space requirements by managing th DSS Labor Mapping Program.
Analyzes space usage by all hospital services in order to allocate support service costs to the appropriate sections.
Prepares proposals, correspondences, and reports involving Relative Value Unites (RVU's), direct and indirect costs and their relationship to mapped human capital.
Ensures documents present information in a factual and expressive manner to accomplish planned objectives.
Analyzes cost variances and allocations during the fiscal periods and prepares remedial actions.
Analyzes all costs, utilization and quality issues associated with the delivery of health care at the Medical Center.
Provides full staff support on administrative matters affecting patient care outcomes, cost issues and organizational policy.
Serves as a staff member directly supporting the top Management Team, and is responsible for planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the Medical Center's data management efforts.
Prepares and gives oral presentations on the projects objectives and status to medical center personnel.
Communicates/coordinates with appropriate Medical Center personnel in order to overcome technical or interpersonal problems.
Functions as Decision Support Service (DSS) support for the VISN Network. All the above general responsibilities performed for Washington DC will also be performed in support of the VISN.
Reviews and analyzes computer-generated cost and budget reports on a monthly/quarterly basis in order to verify the accuracy of data, noting trends, and analyzing variances.
