FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN SUMMARY:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for trouble shooting, repairing, performing warranty work, maintenance, and installing sports lighting on football, soccer, tennis, baseball, golf courses and other sport related fields.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain, adjust, troubleshoot and repair lighting and control systems.
· Recommend any additional corrective action to customer and service coordinator.
· Uses precision test equipment to perform all service and repair work.
· Troubleshoot malfunctions and/or problems.
· Diagnose problems using laptop computers and software.
· Able to resolve some technical issues via phone.
· Process required paperwork in a timely manner.
· Stand Poles and fly light fixtures.
· Ensure that all warranty and service work orders are prepared properly according to warranty/service policies and that all warranty/service parts are tagged and turned in
· Responsible for parts inventory on service truck
· Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of service truck
· Responsible for laptop and cellular phone usage
· Responsible for tracking time and expenses each day
· Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work area
· Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and records
· Answers appropriate customer inquiries satisfactorily and requests help in locating the proper information as necessary to resolve the issue
· Maintain professional appearance
REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Degree or equivalent
· Valid Driver’s License
· CDL is a bonus
· Active Passport is a bonus
· Maintain a clean driving record
· 2+ years’ production experience
· Strong work ethic and organizational skills
· Able to multitask in a fast paced environment and likes a challenge
· Capable of lifting 40- 70 pounds unassisted
· Able to stand for extended period of time
· Reliable mode of transportation
· Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time, domestic and international
· Work/travel schedule will be 17 days on the road and then 7 days days at home.
· OSHA 10 certification.
· Ability to follow instructions
· Some basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
· Electrical and technology skills
· Common hand tools and electrical meter required to perform necessary troubleshooting, repair and Maintenance as part of daily job duties
· Operate equipment including but not limited to; forklift, bob cat, mini excavators, ariel man lift
· Not afraid of heights
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
