Job Description _ Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager_


We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst/Project Manager for the complete system rewrites of logistics related projects at Laufer Group International. You will be involved in the design, analysis, and new development of systems, and will also interact and serve as liaison with associates at all levels within the organization.

Operational Responsibilities (others may be assigned):

  • Requirements definition and analysis and write up of BRD (Business Requirements Documents)
  • Lead coordinator of Client Communication activities in the Americas region to inform US-based clients on upcoming Standard Instruction Changes
  • Detailed planning and coordination of activities front-to-back in cooperation with other involved areas
  • Manage deliverables of the program (i.e. leading sub-projects through analysis, design, testing, migration, and implementation)
  • Planning, milestone verification, resourcing, risk management, project status reporting, and issue tracking
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to determine priorities and challenges
  • Execute analysis & design in different stages of the project
  • Coordinate across different stakeholders on different levels of seniority
  • Define & review education/training approach with stakeholders
  • Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
  • Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release
  • Working with Software Development teams on a regular basis

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detailed business know-how in both logistics, brokerage and WM products & processes
  • Detailed understanding of Front-to-Back and End-to-End Processes
  • Change management skills (structured & systematic approach to project management, analysis, design, testing and change management processes)
  • Ability to run complex projects with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Able to work in teams across different locations and different time zones


  • 7 – 10 years of experience in business analysis, project management for large scale technology projects
  • Previous experience in international and domestic Client Communication preferred
  • Global logistics knowledge and IBM Platforms would be a major plus
  • Strong knowledge of the full SDLC would be a major plus
