Creative Health Services is seeking a School Based Counselor to provide School Based Counseling within the Owen J. Roberts and Perkiomen Valley School Districts. This position is ideal for individuals who are outgoing and enjoy offering guidance. The positions are for 180 days during the school year.
The hourly rate is $35-$37 per hour. The hours may be utilized towards supervision for licensure.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Counsel students regarding short-term social and emotional problems.
- Attending team and/or parent meetings. Partnering with school administration, and teachers to support students' needs and encourage academic success as well as overall mental wellbeing
- Provide behavioral consultant services to the school faculty as needed
- Provide individual counseling, provide psycho-educational groups as needed
- Facilitate referrals for additional mental health services as needed
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in the Human Services field
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus
- LPC or LSW Licensure strongly preferred. Ability to obtain supervision towards licensure path
- Depending upon district license (LSW or LPC) may be required
