Event Coordinator Specialist:

Drive the corporate strategy for events and tastings for Delysia Chocolatier. Host and run our Farmer’s Market activations every weekend. Manage and oversee Brand Ambassadors, scheduling and coordinating all demos and tastings activities. Plan creative and unique events to drive brand awareness and traffic to our Culinary Center in NW Austin. Identify, coordinator, and manage day of activities for all events, including but not limited to weekly tastings, complimentary tasting events, classes, private events, and demos. Strategize and drive event component of the business to be a stand-alone revenue stream through community awareness, wedding planner connections, event coordination, and private events. Act as our Field Marketer with direct consumer interaction and contact to drive sales and product awareness. Directly support our Marketing Strategist through the development of field marketing and event marketing strategies and campaigns to push awareness of our events, including but not limited to social media, promotional material design, advertising, and public relations. Portion of the Event Coordinator Specialists time will be spent being hands-on involved in the production and order fulfillment piece of the business, including but not limited to making chocolate, packaging, and deliveries.

The Event Coordinator job duties include:

  • Manage and coordinator company events, including customer demos, tasting events, and onsite marketing events at the Delysia Chocolatier Culinary Center. This includes assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists, as well as executing day of activities for all events.
  • Manage and run all of our Farmer’s Market activations day of, every weekend.
  • Oversee our Brand Ambassador's schedules for demos and tasting events at customer locations.
  • Maintain and run our demos at customer locations, including scheduling, packing, and day of coordination of all Brand Ambassadors.
  • Implement event marketing campaigns working in coordination with the Marketing Department on preparing marketing advertising strategies, plans, and objectives as well as marketing communications campaigns around events.
  • Work directly with Marketing Department to develop and source event promotional materials. This includes coordinating requirements with graphic designers; inventorying stock; placing and receiving orders; verifying receipt.
  • Ensure products stocked on customer shelves at retail locations. This includes product stock inventorying, delivery, and restocking.
  • Take our event piece of the business to the next level, making it a proper revenue stream by booking off-site events, on premise events, private events, etc.
  • Oversee and assist the executive chocolatier with kitchen management and order fulfillment, including ordering process and customer deliveries.
  • Oversee retail hours at the facility. Assists customers will product selection and order fulfillment.

  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from various events, meetings, presentations, and deliveries.
  • Experience in retail and customer service highly preferred.
  • Good internet skills and ability to conduct research projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Desire to be involved in a small business operating in a startup environment, with a fast paced environment and high demands for attention to quality and perfectionism.
  • Flexibility in duties with the demands of various seasons and holidays.
  • Foodie at heart and passionate about artisan products is a definite plus.

Additional Information on the Position:

  • Full time 1099 contract position
