Enabling Technologies is seeking a Microsoft Cloud Engineerto bring a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to provide top quality service for Enabling’s (ETC) customers. As an Advisor II, you will qualify, troubleshoot, and resolve and work escalated issues from clients that contract with ETC for support and maintenance of their managed solutions. The systems you will support include; Azure, Office 365, Unified Messaging, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business Online and on-premise, and third-party vendor Microsoft qualified UC endpoints.

You must be a strong technologist with solid business skills. You are as comfortable working with a technical team/management as you are with client business users, and you know how to build bridges between the two. You will develop relationships with key customer managers to help them achieve their business goals.

Skillset and Qualifications

  • Working experience with infrastructure solutions, especially in relation to Microsoft applications, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies.
  • Working experience with current IT market challenges/initiatives (Cloud, Virtualization, Mobility, BYOD, UC)
  • Experience with call quality monitoring tools is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with cloud system engineering principles and considerations
  • Experience with provisioning a virtualized cloud service environment
  • Expertise with Microsoft OS and Active Directory
  • Working experience with networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Excellent customer service, effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Must have technical managed services experience
  • Experience utilizing ITIL best practices

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and manage complex Microsoft cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Review and manage technical documents to maintain current and future cloud platforms
  • Administer Microsoft Azure to meet our customers’ technical, security, and business needs for apps/workloads
  • Monitoring and acting on planned/unplanned outage notifications from Microsoft
  • Facilitation of meeting ongoing security and compliance requirements
  • Supporting processes for license assignment, altering, and removal with end users
  • Research and utilize input for continuous service improvements
  • Ability to write technical and operational management documentation
  • Provide proactive management for the product offerings around Microsoft E3/E5 Suite, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams with Voice, Poly, AudioCodes
  • Provide leadership for ETC engineers and partners to grow the business and prepare for future customer needs
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners


  • Available to provide after-hours support and actively participate in an on-call rotation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain vendor professional certifications as necessary to achieve company/departmental goals
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a similar field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for a degree
  • 8 + years of relevant Managed Services and/or Consulting experience
  • 3+ years of relevant Microsoft Azure design & delivery experience or other cloud platforms

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
