Systems Engineer II
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph
Location: Chantilly, VA
Years of Experience: 2 to 5 Years
The program provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) core and non-core support in the areas of Cyber Security and Management to improve the Information Assurance (IA) posture of a National customer. The contracts Core Capabilities are: IA Management, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA coordination and reporting, Risk Management Framework (RMF) application, IA compliance measurements and metrics, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Vulnerability Management, and Cyber Defense support. The Systems Engineer provides support to the customer in the area of Cyber Security. Daily Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Provide schedule management support and create monthly reports based on customer schedules
Facilitate weekly customer meetings
Work closely with customer to provide program support
Coordinate with Front Office support
Providing technical analysis and managing customer cyber actions
Perform IA functions to maintain an acceptable security posture on behalf of the customer and in compliance with ND 50-05 and ND 52-20
Collaborate closely with data owners, information system (IS) owner, and users of IS and networks
Identify improvements to existing programs, processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the customer's communication/computer networks, systems, and data
Prepare, document, and present IA positions, analyses, risk assessments, process improvement opportunities, and studies in oral and written form
Active TS/SCI Clearance, Adjudicated Polygraph Required
Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Basic knowledge of information assurance standards and best practices
Basic knowledge of systems engineering, acquisition and program management processes
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision
Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced IA certification (i.e. CISSP or CASP)Experience briefing senior customer personnel
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous customer requests in a fast pace deadline driven environment
Experience managing schedules in MS Project 2010
