Responsible for maintaining the IDX appointment scheduling application for the region with minimal supervision and ensuring accuracy of all existing appointment schedules.
Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners’ (HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
Develops, maintains and ensures the accuracy of templates and master schedule for providers.
Troubleshoots problems related to the scheduling system.
Freezes/thaws schedules (blocks off or unblocks periods of time on providers’ schedules).
Assures that all request for time off and master schedule change forms are completed appropriately.
Edits templates/master schedules for approved time off requests according to the schedule change form.
Prints and forwards the “bumped” patient list to the appropriate department or facility and follows up with telephone calls.
Develops on-call schedules for the region according to the regional policies and procedures.
Provides timely communication to the health centers/departments within the region.
Adheres to Universal Precautions at all times.
Adheres to safety policies and procedures at all times.
Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent. Includes special certification required for specific jobs.
Over 1 year and up to and including 3 years of experience.
1 year experience in the medical field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Microsoft Office applications skills.
Keyboard skills of 25 wpm.
Detailed knowledge of the IDX appointment scheduling application.
Ability to work independently.
