We have an opportunity for a Data Infrastructure Developer to join the ERA (Enterprise Reporting & Analytics) team and work with our Optum Claim Operations clients. This is an office based role in any of the following office locations: International Falls MN, Eden Prairie MN, Duluth MN, Brentwood TN, or Sugarland TX.

You will meet with clients and internal teammates to assess and interpret data infrastructure needs. You will identify and design solutions based on client requirements. You will use various data programs to access multiple data sources and design sophisticated data infrastructure. You will work with and assist various teams each with unique backgrounds and perspectives to develop solutions. You will obtain expertise in claim processing and claim quality work flows and will serve as a consulting resource for our clients and internal leaders.
Build and maintain database architectures
Ensure high quality & best in class methodology processes are being used
Establish clean database environment with proper relationship diagrams, data mapping, & indexing
Establish proper security policies for database protection & access
Design ETL (extract / transform and load) processes to populate database tables
Analyze client requirements and complex business scenarios
Design innovative products and solutions
Act as a project manager to execute key projects and deliverables
Microsoft SQL Server programming (stored procedures, functions, and views)
ETL Development (SSIS)
SQL Server Optimization experience (DBA experience)
SSAS experience building multi-dimensional & tabular cubes
Experience with database structures & data warehouse design (relational database design, normalization levels, & mart/run optimization)
Version control (TFS, SVN, etc.)
Critical thinking & complex issue resolution
Bachelor's degree or two year Associates degree
Big Data environment experience (i.e. Hadoop)
Use of data visualization software (i.e. Tableau)
.NET programming experience
Project management experience
Insurance or health industry data expertise
