Full-timeEstimated: $86,000 - $130,000 a year
Oculus is a world leader in the design of virtual and augmented reality systems. Come work alongside expert software engineers and research scientists to create the technology that makes VR and AR pervasive and universal. Join the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world.
Building a world-class platform is a fundamental part of our strategy to bring amazing VR to the world. At the same time, VR is an emerging technology, and as an industry we are still discovering new interaction models, user experience primitives, and app capability needs. We are only scratching the surface of what consumers will expect VR devices to do in the future. As PM for Developer App Model, your role will be to map out the scenarios and modes that apps can run in, define the APIs and system capabilities needed to enable them, and evolve our internal and external app platforms to meet those requirements elegantly. You will work with the teams that deliver these APIs and the underlying systems that make these app and system experiences possible, and craft a roadmap that aligns these new capabilities to future software and hardware releases.
The ideal candidate has experience working on hardware/software SDKs and developer platforms, strong cross-functional communication skills, experience and passion for working with third party developers, and a passion for virtual reality. Experience developing consumer hardware, developer platforms, and real-time interactive software (games or otherwise) is a major plus.
