The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time, One to One Special Education Paraprofessional to work at Woodland Intermediate School. This is a 10-month position, working Monday - Friday (7:15am to 3:00pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch, 7.25 hours per day) that offers excellent year-round health and dental benefits. This position will begin August 27, 2024.
The right candidate will:
- Engage with students of diverse abilities, supporting their educational and functional growth in a dynamic learning environment
- Provide personalized and small group instruction to reinforce academic concepts
- Assist students with daily tasks, including putting on/taking off outerwear, transitioning between rooms, and various personal cares (bathrooming, feeding, etc.)
- Monitor and reinforce student performance through observation; perform data collection, compilation and other record keeping duties
